Paralegal Diploma, Intermediate Level - Modules 1, 2, 3 are compulsory

General Principles of Australian Law

1. Australian Legal System: Federal Courts, States & Territories Courts Structure, Tribunals, Arbitration, Judiciary

2. Contract Law: Elements of a Contract, Termination of a Contract, Legal Obligations, Defective Contracts, Remedies for Breach of Contract

3. Law of Tort: Tort Against Person, Property, Goods, Defences in Tort, Remedies in Tort

4. Criminal Law: Classes of Offences, Trials, Committal proceedings, Criminal Liability

5. Civil Law: Pre-trial procedures, Enforcement of Judgments

There is an end-of-module test for Module 1.

Paralegal - Module 2

Conveyancing Procedural Law Course

2. Sellers transaction for an Australian property Torrens, Strata

3. Taking Instructions from Clients

4. Mortgages

5. Preparing Searches, Contracts, Transfer of Land, Invoices et al

6. Registration of Certificate of Title at Land Titles Office

7. Proofreading Conveyancing legal documents - Leases, Declaration

There is an end-of-module test for Conveyancing

Paralegal Diploma, Advanced Level - Module 4 is Compulsory

This module is assignments-based.  There is no end-of-module test.

Paralegal Course Eligibility

To be eligible to do our Paralegal Courses, candidates should have completed the Higher School Certificate or equivalent.

Mature students must have relevant office experience and skills.

All students will be tested at the end of each module.

If students are unsuccessful with the first test, they can re-sit for an additional $55.00.

Module 4 is assignment-based. There will be no end of module test.

A webcam is compulsory for monitoring purposes.

On satisfactory completion the diploma or certificate will be posted to your home or business address.

Minimum Estimated Study Time for Modules: 8 weeks (based on 3 hour study time per week)

Students can be flexible and complete in a shorter or longer time as suits their schedule.
Most Students complete each module within 6 months.

All modules must be completed up to 2 years after registration.
